Balsamic Vignettes, August 8-13, 2:15pm, The Space @ Jury's Inn

SHITE is headed to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer with an original play, Balsamic Vignettes! Written by Siobhán Callaghan, Colm Gleeson, James Ireland and Jack Looby, the play uses it’s setting, a small meeting room in Jury’s Inn, as inspiration for the weird and wonderful characters that cross paths there. In the week leading up to Brexit, a fretful intern, two former Irish nationalists with a goal for Scotland, a man with a strange fascination for sheep, and two professionals still musing over Busted’s break up try to navigate problems of a personal and national scale. Contemporary, funny and vaguely tragic, Balsamic is SHITE’s take on life in the UK and Ireland in 2016.
